4/16/2009: Do you think Alaskans have a high tax burden?
Alaska has no income tax and no statewide sales tax. We rely heavily on federal spending in many sectors of our economy. Now that the deadline to file your federal income tax has passed, how do you feel about the amount of taxes Alaskans pay?

- Yes! I am sick of working to pay for people who are too lazy to get a job of their own.

3/31/2009: How has the eruption of Mount Redoubt touched your life?
Alaska's Mount Redoubt has reawakened, and the sleeping giant has been spewing ash and steam miles into the sky, disrupting air travel, endangering the Drift River oil terminal, and sending Anchorage into a frenzy looking for air filters. How has the volcanic activity affected you?

- Not at all. I find more dust in my living room than I did after it hit Anchorage.

Governor Sarah Palin announced Thursday that she was going to reject over 30 percent of the funding coming to Alaska in the federal economic stimulus package, mainly dealing with education, unemployment and health and social services, saying she did not want the state to be financially liable for new programs once the funding ends. Do you agree with her move?
