Thom Hartmann Thom Hartmann is the host of a national daily progressive radio talk show, The Thom Hartmann Program, on Air America Radio and a New York Times best-selling author of nineteen books. Hartmann started in radio almost forty years ago and has a reputation of being a risk taker. Hartmann has worked as a reporter, DJ, news anchor, and program director in the radio field.
Hartmann has made many contributions in the areas of business, news, politics, and psychiatry. He has founded seven corporations over the past thirty years. He had delivered speeches to hundreds of thousands of people over five continents. He has also led national advancements in both residential treatment for abused children and education for learning disabled children. He and his wife of over thirty years founded The New England Salem Children’s Village (1978) .
